Pauline Appelbaum JOins George R. Willy P.C.

SUGAR LAND, Texas (February 6, 2012) - George R. Willy P.C., an immigration law firm in Sugar Land, Texas, is pleased to announce that Pauline Appelbaum has joined the firm as Of Counsel.

Mrs. Appelbaum began her immigration career as a litigation attorney with legacy INS through the Attorney General's Honors Program. She was appointed and served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Texas during six of those years. She was promoted to Associate Regional Counsel for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services when the new agency was formed in March 2003 under the Department of Homeland Security. Mrs. Appelbaum recently retired from that position after working more than 20 years in immigration law.

A graduate of William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Appelbaum's love of immigration began as a child with her immigrant mother. This continued later with her marriage to an immigrant refugee 35 years later.
